The style of food and décor of Woodmont Guesthouse owe much to the former owners, Barb and Alan. Barb is an artist and gets credit for the fanciful dining room murals and chandelier. As a graduate of the Stratford Chef's School, Alan set a high standard for Woodmont breakfasts. He also provided four-course gourmet dinners for guests. We work mainly with Alan's original menus.
Guests are free to bring their own wine for dinner and we are happy to chill
and serve it. We work with fresh, seasonal ingredients, local and organic where
possible. We also take pleasure in making something interesting for
vegetarians, vegans, and others who follow specific diets. We have found that groups of 4-8
appreciate a relaxing dinner around 5:30 p.m., especially when they are
attending both an afternoon and evening performance. Sample Breakfast Menu Everything is made fresh to order. You may choose Frittata of the day Cinnamon French toast with mixed berry sauce Two or three egg omelette with cheese and fresh herbs Sample Dinner Menu Fresh market soup Salad of mixed organic greens with sherry vinaigrette Pan seared breast of free range chicken with mashed potatoes,
seasonal vegetables and balsamic pan juices or Oven roasted rack of New Zealand lamb with mustard crust,
green beans, and rosemary pan juices Very dark chocolate mousse with raspberry sauce or Trio of homemade sorbets |
